Kathy Haug serves as the Iowa Area Director with InterVarsity. She has staffed the chapters at Iowa Central Community College, Central College, and William Penn University during her 10 years with IVCF. As a Northwestern University student, she committed herself to Jesus and his mission initially through the impact of her freshmen small group bible study. Inductive study has played a significant role in her spiritual formation and growth in leadership. Her first InterVarsity Press (IVP) purchases were the IVP Commentary and a Bible Dictionary, both well-worn and well-loved. She has led using the manuscript method in various settings, including groups at the two previous Urbana conventions. She is currently working to adapt the method for her children Porter (3) and Alise (1) and is open to suggestions for effective bedtime systematic theology.

Rachel became a Christian at Central College through the ministry of InterVarsity her sophomore year of college. At that time she had never really read the Bible before and decided to join a Mark manuscript bible study, but after she went one time she was so intimidated and that year she never went back. The following few years she fell in love with God's word and was amazed at how it could transform her life. Now Rachel is on staff at Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska and her favorite part of staff is leading students in exploring God's word and letting it shape their lives and community.

Eric Rafferty went to college in California so that he could rock climb to his heart's content. While he did enjoy many a good near death experience at Joshua Tree National Park, it was missional community that really engaged his sense of adventure. As a freshman in his dorm Bible study he saw Jesus jump off the pages of scripture and transform his life. Eric fell in love with helping his friends meet Jesus in the Word. After working with InterVarsity in Southern California for three years, Eric and his wife Stacy moved to Nebraska in 2009 to plant an InterVarsity chapter at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Eric's passions include sharing the gospel, watching Jesus break down barriers in multiethnic community, roughhousing with his one and a half year old son William, and anticipating the birth of his brand new baby girl this spring!
